Books
We will have over 100 reference books in all categories. When borrowing a book, you will have to leave an employer or government issued Photo ID.
A large-print copy of the book list will be posted on the wall and lists sorted by title and author will be available at the main desk.

Computers
We will have 27 public computers with full internet access. There will also be two printers, one of which can produce ledger-sized copies of manifests and census reports. There will be a 25¢ charge per page.
Among the computer resources are:
Ancestry.com – Millions of records of all types, including census and immigration. Also, there will be a representative of Ancestry.com in the Resource Room to assist you in using the site.

The Godfrey Library - Databases and links to hundreds of genealogical resources including newspapers, obituaries, and vital records.
Jewish Chronicle - Search through the original published pages of The Jewish Chronicle from 1841 to present.

Holocaust Memorial Museum Database – 2 computers will be dedicated to this database, consisting of 3 million records normally available only at the museum.
Jewishdata.com – Thousands of Jewish records, including photos of tombstones, primarily from the Northeast US and Canada.
Memorial Database of Jewish Soldiers, Partisans and Workers Killed in Action during Nazism: A searchable database of Jews in the Russian army killed and missing in action in during World War II.
Manhattan Brides Index – The current project of the Italian Genealogical Group is to computerize the index of 1,400,000 marriage licenses by bride’s name. We will have access to the data which has been entered so far.
Lower East Side Synagogues – A file of synagogues on the Lower East Side from the 1917-18 Communal Register which may be sorted by shtetl, name, or address.
Maine Jewry – A database being compiled of Jewish records in Maine. Links to major genealogical web resources.
The Jewish Exponent -- Indices of obituaries and death notices in Philadelphia and suburbs
LDS Microfilms
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) will lend us the Jewish interest microfilms (including the Hamburg Emigration Lists) which are usually at the Woodside Family History Center and will provide microfilm readers. It will also be possible to order other films from the FHL in advance, for viewing in the Resource Room. Details will be provided before the Conference.

Translators
Translators will be available to help you decipher documents in Russian, Polish, Spanish, Hebrew, Yiddish, and other languages. The translators can interpret short documents or determine the nature of longer documents, but cannot translate long articles. There will be sign-up sheets for 10 minute sessions.
